The problem
Hospitals, factories, and airports run on equipment that goes missing at the worst possible moment, creating cost, downtime, and compliance risk. I explored how Cisco could enable scalable asset tracking on its existing platform, starting with the highest-ROI enterprise use cases.

What I did
Discovery
I noticed a gap in frontline user validation, so I ran 30+ interviews across customers, partners, internal teams, and end users, using personal connections and even going door to door to reach them. I turned the findings into a prioritization framework that focused the launch on regulated, asset-dense environments like healthcare and advanced manufacturing, and presented it to the CTO and Director of Product.
Product direction
Frontline staff don’t care about item #4471; they need any available wheelchair right now. I defined fungibility logic for when assets should be treated as interchangeable versus tracked by serial number, and built a working prototype of that view in Cursor. I also recommended role-based access with lightweight authentication for shared devices.
Go-to-market
I modeled asset density from access point telemetry, used real deployment data to size licenses from the bottom up, and benchmarked against 15+ competitors. I helped build a healthcare ROI calculator with a one-year payback story and shaped a manufacturing case study that tied lost assets to downtime and revenue.
